Installing CDC Catalogs--Problem new
      #3434842 - 11/07/09 03:13 PM

I am having a problem installing catalogs in cdc. As suggested, I expand the download to Ciel/cat. I then go to setup/catalog in CDC, click ADD and follow the path to the particular catalog I want to install. When I open the catalog file it is empty--no .hdr file or anything else. But, when I open the catalog folder from Windows Explorer all of the files are present. Am I missing a step that allows CDC to recognize the files?

Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Keith

Keith, are you saying that when you go through Windows Explorer, the .hdr file is there? This extension is relevant only for catalogs pepared using the catgen program. Other catalogs have a .idx extension and you access them in a different location (the other tabs of the catalog section). Which version of CdC are you using?

Thanks for your reply, Mark. I am using CDC v.3. I used the hdr example because tha is what is in the bsc5 catalog (which works just fine). My issue is that no files of any kind in the other catalogs show up in the directory when accessed through the cdc setup. They only show when viewing in windows explorer. I might add that I can't get pictures that I have in the data folder to show up either. I have uninstalled and reinstalled cdc a couple of times to see if that would resolve the issue, but no joy on that, either. Does this help?
