It's well-matched to the C8 as far as vignetting goes, you won't see any. Similar to the Pan 35 in true FOV (Pan 35 a bit more).
Picking one over the other depends on your preference for ultra-widefield eyepieces in general, mostly. Each one has their proponents, though I think most choose the Pan 35.

The 22mm Nagler works great in the C8. The 35mm Pan works great in the C8.
So my guess would be the 26mm Nagler will be a sweet eyepiece in this ota. It is probably the next eyepiece I will be purchasing too.

I must admit that i never considered buying that EP. Got a 35 pan for low power viewing and then went down to pan 22 that i sold (unfortunately) for a 17 E (that i like). The 26 would be an expensive EP that i easily replace by using my focal reducer on my powerswitch with my 17E. That gives me a 26mm E that i prefer over a 26 nagler.
The Denk powerswitch was a good investment.
I am not sure many C8 users will own that nagler. Could be better when used in the city to have a darker background than the 31T5 or pan 35

I like owning extra eyepieces in the long focal length range. This is where I am using nebula filters most of the time. I find it very handy to keep filters attached to some of the eyepieces all night, rather than contantly removing and putting them on. I use the 40mm visually most of the time and keep my DGM NPB on the 35mm. I have also been keeping the Baader UHC-S on the 22mm and then using the 17E for visual because they have the same tfov. If I had the 26mm I could keep my OIII on it all the time.
I suppose it would be better to have a 2" 4 position manual filter wheel, but no one makes one of those. They only make them for AP and they are all computer controlled.
The lumicon filter slider is not a good idea because the filters get dew all over them.
And the denk only holds 2 filters and cannot be put in one spot, it moves with the diagonal, so it hits the feathertouch microfocuser knob and that severely limits eyepiece postioning on a gem.

I recently purchased a used C8. Haven't really had a chance to use it much--schedule and the clouds. I have a 26mm T5. I used it briefly in the C8 and thought is was a fantastic match especially for DSO observing. I like the 2.6mm exit pupil and 75x and just over a degree of sky frames a lot of objects nicely. The eyepiece is comfortable and sharp and really has an emersive feel.

I have used a 31mm Nagler on a C8. It works just fine with just a tinge of ight fall off near the edge.

It's an excellent fit. Go for it. Though I do not own one myself, It is, without doubt, one of the best eyepieces I've ever looked through. It is an outstanding piece of glass.

I have the Nagler 26mm and have used it on my C8. I've never noticed any significant vignetting.
