Astro-Tech and Astronomics needs your images!!!
Pardon the interruption.
We need your images for a project we are putting together. We will give full credit in the project to the photographer. Name, website (if applicable), and equipment used for the image. We would also like to post the images on the Astro-Tech and Astronomics website showing what the equipment and photographer can do. We would like to get the images as soon as possible so we can start getting the project together.
Please send images or questions to mike@astronomics.com.
Thank you for your time and images,
Mike Bieler

I'd be glad to help.
This is my first light image after I bought some AstroTech gear at NEAF. Here are the details: Target: M8, 7/3/2010, 12:40 am EST Telescope: AT-8RC (Astro-Tech 8" RC) Mount: Celestron CGEM Camera: Canon 20D (unmodified) Image data: 5 x 60 seconds, unguided, 3200 ISO
I am still a novice to astro-photography, and still learning the process, and aquiring the gear.

I was doing some testing with my camera yesterday and i set it to small/normal for the size pics and i forgot to put it back to raw for andromeda which i'm sure would have been better for post processing. It was nice clear skies but the clouds rolled in once i had my scope set up. I did manage to get 13 exposures. I stacked them in DeepSpaceStacker and PP was in photoshop. Taken with my Canon 350D and 75mm-300mm kit lens @ 220mm piggybacked on a Meade LX 200 classic for tracking. Unguided... Exposure 4 mins x 13 stacked ISO 800. F 5.0. 220.mm.

I bought a demo model AT6RC at NEAF this year. Finally got around to getting all the parts together and it saw first light just recently:
This is an uncropped image, there's some amp glow in the corner
Target: M-13. Minimally processed in ImagesPlus (Still learning to use it)
Images: 12 x 180 seconds @ ASA-800
Darks: 11
Flats: 11
Equipment: AT6RC using modified Canon 350D (Hap Griffin)
Guide Scope: Meade 12" f/10
Mount: Byers 812 modified to autoguide using GPUSB, Phillips ToUCam and PHD guide software

Mike, what file size and type (JPG I suppose) would you like the pictures? I have first light images of M45, M42/43, and the Horsehead/Flame region from the new AT8IN, no coma corrector (the clouds and rain just broke so new pics with the MPCC will be coming), Canon 350D unmodified.
Thanks,
Don

Horsehead/Flame area. AT8IN, non-goto Atlas EQ, Canon 350D unmodified. 8x 5-minute subs, manually guided using webcam and laptop (modified the 50mm finderscope for guiding). Stacked in DSS, stretched and processed in CS4. No coma corrector, and only very rough collimation using homemade sight tube cheshire combo tool.

Hi Mike,
Just bought the AT65EDQ. Just getting used to it. No worries if the imagery is not up up par. It may take a while to figure out what filter and cam combos are going to be best for this apature and glass. Love the scope though.

Hey, if you are really Mr Astronomics, I have bought 2 of your products, one being the astroplate table for my Meade tripod. It rules, great job. Now I am awaiting the back order of my Astro-Tech 6" Ritchey-Chretien scope. Do you have any idea of when the backorders will be filled?
If you aren't with Astronomics, sorry for the intrusion.
Thanks, ---dave
