Can I play? I'm not quite at the level of the pros here yet, but I'm getting a bit better.

What great pics these are! While I have no interest in ever getting into astrophotography, I can sure appreciate the effort put into creating these. My hat is off to everyone that has posted a picture in here.
The opening post mentioned that pics of what is seen visually were encouraged, and I agree that this would be a great idea. It would be really cool to be able to review a visual representation of what to expect, and then go out and compare it for yourself.
I hope that this project continues to completion.

Jason....beautiful image. The individual areas are very distinct, and the wide view of them puts everything into a very nice perspective. Wonderfully done,

M96 Galaxy in Leo
Usually seen with its two companions...M95 and 105. There was a lot of LP when I took this and very moist air. I took 70 some shots and had to throw away about 40....but this still left me with 30pics@4min each. I also left a little of the LP in, I didn't want to lose all of the little deep galaxies in the pic.

This was shot with the C8"SCT at F6.3. SXV-H9C.
