Hey, awesome! We've now got 21 members with 17 active. This is absolutely amazing! Our world position according to BoincStats is #91 out of 1,790 teams! Great job everybody. I recently had my work computer upgraded from a 600 MHz to an 866 MHz so that should help me out a bit.

Anyway, glad to see everyone is still interested. What a great team and a great forum!

Is there a page that details what I am looking at on the screensaver? Obviously its a simplified star map, but a bit more detail on what it was doing would be nice.

Thanks!

~Jon

Redvis, on my PC he is obviously running a second set, but the status for the first one is "waiting to be sent" (I don't know if it appears this way in English, I'm re-translating something that has been translated in a French version of BOINC). Is there something I must do?

Hi tlee and matt, thanks for joining!

tlee - I have this problem too. I think it has to do with the new version of BOINC (4.25) as I get a blank screen as well. I have not investigated this yet but I'll do some research and get back to you. Don't worry - you're not alone! ;-)

matt - don't worry about the "waiting to be sent" message. Your set will be sent when the second set you're working on reaches about 85% or higher. This confused me too until I realized that it is just the way BOINC works. So the short answer is - no, there is nothing you need to do.

Thanks for joining! We have 22 members and are ranked 88 out of 1850 teams according to Boincstats (www.boincstats.com) and hopefully we'll continue to grow!

I was already doing the Einstein at home and Seti at home, but didn't have a team. I gladly joined the Cloudy NightS Forum Team for both Einstein and Seti.

I still get a blank screen when I try to use the screensaver I guess it must be my ATI graphics card.

Well, sorry guys but I'm gonna have to cut back my participation. The client seems to be slowing my servers down so I'm just gonna run it at night now. I'll still run it as long as I can get away with it though! Just don't tell my boss!!

I've had to take my main Einstein @ home computer down for a while. It's been overheating like crazy when I run Einstein @ home! Luckily I still have it at work.

Oh, and just an update that there is a new version of BOINC available at http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/ just go to "Download BOINC" and choose version 4.45. It's got some great new features!

To be honest, it's probably a better idea to do Einstein @ Home, that way we can advance our own science and either find them ourselves, or make them feel comfortable with contacting us. Just my opinion.

I'll look into joining, I need to adress some stability issues, my system is overclocked, and it's summer, so I might have to let it run while not overclocked so it won't crash. Also It's been a while since I cleaned out all the dust in my PC, so that would probably help.

I just got a faster computer for work and am back up and processing! My average has jumped from 6 something to over 30!

My home computer continues to have problems with heat. I will keep everyone updated!

I signed up to Einstein@ home and climateprediction.net about a month ago, but I've had Einstein on pause for most of that time so the climateprediction.net can run. I decided to detach from the climate thing. That one still projects 2,440 hours to completion. My PC could end up crashing long before that. Einstein completes a cycle in 20 hours on average.

Einstein@ home total credits: 261.89

I'm running BOINC 5.2.13

I joined the team. Will it count the credits I already had towards the team?

BTW I show up as Justin on the team list.

We are at #121 in the teams rankings for recent avg credit.

We are at #88 in the teams rankings for total credit.

Still having overheating problems with my CPU at home but I continue to run this at work. Going to be getting a new CPU soon so hopefully that will help! We have 33 members now by the way!

My own update.

I'm at 10,039 credited points now. There's no way I'll ever catch up to our leaders.

Our 33 member team stands at 973,519 points and 2,470 recently credited points.

We are at #117 in the teams rankings for recent avg credit.

We are at #98 in the teams rankings for total credit.

I think we need some more people to join in.
