His and Hers Lunar sketches
      #3559356 - 01/13/10 10:13 PM

On our ministry site we have posted 2 December lunar sketches and two older ones that illustrate the wonder of the creation at varying magnitudes by showing different context for lunar scenes (from individual craters to region to earth setting with eyes). If you care to see them, you can follow the address below my signature.

Clear skies (and cold, here in Virginia)

Roland and Linda,

A beautiful and inspirational set of observations of the Moon. I look forward to your future efforts. Please stay warm in Virginia.

Thank you Carlos and Frank. It finally warmed up today but then clouded over, or I would be outside tonight. We should have M78 and another lunar sketch on the site in a day or so, but I will holler when its up.

Either of you to used grey paper much (as opposed to black or white) for lunar stuff? We have had some fun with it and may order some bulk to use it more.

Roland,

I have not tried the grey paper yet but I have been thinking about it. I do have some. It is always fun to try something new but right now I would be happy to see an increase in clear nights.

Frank

I know what you mean. Let me know how you like it. We have used a grey/brown (Herschel sketch), a tan, and a grey. Any of them seem to help us. Our outlines can be light and seen easily but easily obscured later; extreme lights and darks seem to be easier to balance and get right.
