Contact Lenses for sketching
      #3608961 - 02/06/10 04:50 PM

Hello all: This is my first post in the sketching forum. I've been inspired by the sketches here to try my hand at sketching and have come up with a couple questions. Does anybody here have any experience with bifocal contact lenses for observing and sketching? I need some help with my near vision these days as well as a correction for nearsightedness. In low red light I can't see the page too well without cranking up the light, which of course blows my dark adaption, so I'm hoping bifocal contacts will be the best answer. Any experience.

Sorry, I don't. I wear my glasses during observing or have them suspended on a nylon thing that allows them to dangle without dropping.

Lighting is something you will face as a challenge. I think the adjustable light is the best for this. Welcome and good luck with your sketching!
