Dear observers,

Mars is getting smaller and is harder to observe. I used my 32 cm Dobson for today, magnification was 180x. The image was brighter but not clearer as in my 6 inch Mak which I normally use.
I decided to mirror the image to make it equal to the other sketches.

Uwe

You've catured some amazing detail here on Mars. I like the colors you recorded as accurate to actual seeing without filtration. Well done!

Also, I see that Mars is now on the way out as you've renderd it as turning to a gibbous phases again.

Thanks for posting this. My equipment will not allow these details as the planet diminishes in apparent size now; possibly why I turned back to Saturn recently.

Mark

Uwe,

An excellent observation of Mars through your 12-inch (32 cm) Dobsonian. You have recorded a god amount of albedo features and clouds/haze over the planet. I have labeled the major albedo features noted. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

Carlos

Uwe,
Very fine work again. You have created many fine sketches over this Mars close approach to us.
Like the others this one is a wonderful creation of what is seen at the eyepiece.

Frank
