You produced an amazing image of M81/82 thru your Takahashi.
Unfortunately, I've never had the pleasure to look thru a Takahashi.
I am curious -- what sort of naked eye views do you experience of M81/82 with that incredible telescope?

Ya know, I haven't even looked through that scope at those galaxies yet. In fact, it's probably been over a year since I used that scope visually.
When I did, though, oh, wow! Everything you hear about a Tak is true. Here's one case: I was splitting Castor maybe last year with my 8" LX200. It was OK, they were split, but the Airy disks were dancing all over the place. With the FS102, they were nice, round and steady. The Double-double? Mama Mia, they were clean, steady DISKS.
Of course, that could be more due to aperture differences, but the optical quality is there.
One more snippet: I could have sworn once (and this happened just once) that a view of M42 through my FS102 actually matched the view of the same nebula through my LX200!
