LX200 or LX 90 new

Question: If I purchase the LX90 and add an equatorial wedge to it. will it perform as well as the LX 200GPS ?
Can anyone weigh in on doing Astrophotography this way?

NO! The LX90 is light weight compared to the LX200. (I assume you're talking about the classic LX200 and the LX90 of about the same vintage.) If this is true, I would strongly urge you to be VERY careful in considering either of these telescopes. Meade no longer supports these telescopes, so if you should ever have a serious problem, you will be on your own. While you may find some people to work on the scope, it will probably cost you serious bucks and you have no way of buying new parts.
