Mars - 17th April 2010 - Au revoir. new
      #3750811 - 04/17/10 05:27 PM Attachment (35 downloads)

My final drawing this time around of Mars, it's now too small to capture any interesting detail.

I have observed and drawn Mars 29 times since December 4th 2009 and it's been both enjoyable and rewarding.

I'm really looking forward to Jupiter next.

Dweller,

Thank you for your excellent Mars observation. I note Sinus Sabaeus to the south, North Polar Cap (NPC) to the north, and Chryse-Xanthe towards the west (right). Thank you for this and all of your other excellent Mars observations made during the apparition.

Carlos

It was a pleasure to see all of these Mars sketches! Can't wait to see 29 sketches of Jupiter.

Dweller,

I hope you change your mind in the next few weeks if you get an exceptional seeing night. I like Jef and Carlos above looked forward to your superb Mars sketches. Also you gave me an idea of what I might see about a week ahead of time on the red planet. So on to Jupiter it is.

Frank

Thanks Guys - it's been great sharing and comparing the Mars observations with you all.

Frank - I might have an occasional peak

Kris - Jupiter will be a little lower than Saturn is now but I will still try
