This is a fine sketch. I see transparancy was also good in the Netherlands. Maybe the absence of all the airplanes in Europe is very good thing for astronomy! Long live Iceland!

Demelza,

Excellent sketch of the black-eyed galaxy. I was observing this one last night also. This is one of those galaxies you can see even from skies with much light scatter. The "black eye" is always easy to see with this one and it takes high power well.

Frank

Demelza,

An excellent observation of the Black-eye galaxy (M64) in Coma Berenices. This is an excellent galaxy to observe with it's dark core. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

Carlos

Thank you!

@ Jef: The conditions where indeed very good, but not as good as I've hoped with the absence of airplanes. Maybe the ash of the vulcano disturbed the transparancy a little bit.

Anyway: M64 is a nice galaxy to observe and to sketch!

Demelza,
That is one pretty galaxy sketch. Can't wait to see more.
