Hallo,

sketching a crater of the moon is always a difficult thing for me.On Tuesday Moon stands up fine and observing conditions were good.I started a new try.Crater Buerg lies in Lacus Mortis ,in the north of Mare Serenitatis .Here it is:

Markus,

This is a fantastic sketch of crate Burg on the Lake of Death. The terrace, crater floor and rim look outstanding. It just stands off the page. Three years ago I posted a sketch of Lacus Mortis with Burg illuminated in opposite sunlight. I did not capture Burg as well as you did here.

Markus, very nicely done. I do a lot of sketching myself but have never quite mastered lunar sketching so I enjoy looking at other observer's results in that area even more.

Hallo Frank,

thank you very much for your friendly feedback, but I think your sketch is as good as mine. You use another technique and I like this kind very much.

Hallo Michael,

thank you,I saw your homepage with all your wonderful sketches ,so I think a moon crater wouldn't be a big problem for your.Sketching mooncraters from pictures was a good training for me and you can do it at daylight
