From what I can gather the lens is from Intane Optics and is a 8" f/9,reports are that the CA is quite well contolled. The OTA weighs 27lbs. Not much detail really. That's all I know.

I think that's all any of us know, except that it was also equipped with a Moonlite focuser.

I'm giving the 2" Crawmach a go on my next project. Of course with the volcano it spent quite a few days in Miami on holiday.

I know for certain the lens is not from ISTAR, I do not remember exactly where its from though.

How much does the quality of an achromat 8" f/9 lens affect the CA? Does a good 8" f/9 have the same CA as an excellent 8" f/9?
