Again a nice "small" Mars sketch! Who will get the last Mars sketch of this season? Maybe we can create a challenge-cup for that one!

Simas,

An excellent observation of Mars at a small apparent diameter. I adjusted the colors a little and blurred it as well. I hope that you like it. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

Carlos

Simas,

Very nice sketch with an 8" scope on such a small target.
As you mentioned the best views now are before dark.

Simas,

Nice work on a *very* tough target.

Twilight is often a good time to observe planets.

impressive sketch Simas for an 8"! is it a Dobson you use, or a computer guided scope? if it's a dob, could you tell how you find mars at daytime, because my method is very crude and not very succesfull lately!

Thanks all for your kind words.
Kris - I'm using my Celestron SCT on Alt/Az mount with GoTo, so task - to find Mars, is easy straight after Sun goes down.

S1mas,

Great work with your instruments and your eye, impressive. Wish the skies here would allow for a session . . . maybe tonight.
