Jupiter in the eyepiece, 6/12/10 new

I'm glad I got up this morning to spend an hour on my favorite object. I really like the eyepiece views rendered on this forum so I gave it a try. First I started with a pencil sketch and re-drew using GIMP.

Nice "EP-view". Is that a moonshadow on the planet?

Yes, I was lucky to see a shadow transit of Io.

Ging-Li,

Great sketch with the shadow of Io crossing the planet and the other moons in line on the other side. I like your chosen colors for use on Jupiter.

Frank

Ging-Li,

An excellent and realistic observation of Jupiter and the Galilean satellites. The eyepiece view adds to the scene. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

Carlos
