ST4 and GM8 (non-Gemini) new
      #3986165 - 08/16/10 12:44 PM

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a used ST4 and I'm wondering about how well it works with the non-Gemini Digital Drive System. Are there any relay boxes, special adapters, cables or any other components that I will/may need to get it to work without a computer. Does the ST4 send signals to both drives simultaneously (which I understand will not work with the DDS)? Any other useful information or links are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help!

For just Autoguiding a computer isnt required, only for remote operation, and i believe if you wanted to actually image with the ST-4..more info on the link below.

I believe your GM8 DDS is just like my G11 DDS Non Gemini
mount, only thing you should need is a guide port splitter.

One of the splitters allows the hand box and cable from the
ST4 to plug in at the same time.
