Last night was the first night in many weeks that I have had transparent skies. I chose M 15 and M 2 as my sketching targets. M15 resolved a couple dozen stars and showed a lot of granulation. M 2 was mostly granular and nebulous and resolved about 6 stars.

Jim these a great, you've really captured lots of unique structure! I really enjoy the way you create the granular appearance.

Jim,

Beautiful sketching of these 2 globulars. I would say you were pretty happy to have clear transparent skies for viewing.

Frank

Thank You everyone.
Jeremy ,
The structures do indeed seem unique (compared to many other renderings of these objects) ,mostly because of missing structures due to my observing area. I do these sketches to demonstrate that observing can be done under less than ideal, well, actually poor conditions.

Jim,

Excellent observations of M2 and M15. You have captured fine detail over these globulars in your fine renderings. The asymmetry over M2 is evident. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

Carlos

Jim
I'm glad that you catched so much detail in your urban sky! A proof that "bright skies aren't empty"!
