As a addendum to my above posting of those "Witch's Broom" images; it looks as if concerns expressed earlier regarding the possibility of flexure when using a side by side (Gemini bar) system such as captured these, have, so far, not been realised. Time will of course tell, but it's a good sign that such concerns may continue to be unfounded.

Best regards,
Tel

Nice shot! The UHC will indeed impart a color cast. Most of the bandpass is in the blue-green region so that's why it looks like that. But it certainly did make the nebula stand out more among the stars!

Thank you Tom & John.

It's certainly my best Jupiter until now with this setup, but processing isn't perfect because of the onion rings that I can remove.

Eric

Very nice Jupiter, Eric!

By the way, I didn't even notice the "onion rings" until I read your last post.

THAT is quite amazing. Congratulations on great Jupiter capture. I do not believe France is in some magic seeing condition spot. It appears to be a great deal of skill and luck to get this shot. Excellent use of the opportunity.

I missed you guys, so I came to post. Once again, I'm blown away every time I come in here with the work being done - keep it up!

This is my first shot of M31. It is 6, 5 minute exposures through a Televue 127is on a ParamountII with a QSI 583c. Hope you like it!

Edit: Para, not portamount. I must have been tired when I wrote that.

Thanks all !

@ Alex : the quality of this capture is amazing because I made an other one 15 minutes before with my PLA-Mx (in black & white) which is not as detailed ... I don't understand why :

Eric
