A 4" newtonian reflector- "Amazing summer fun for the whole family!". Maybe in the same ad the poster might not readily admit "We do not use this".

Possible interpretations:

a. Shipping costs were astronomical ;
b. I was taken to the cleaners ;
c. It's "approx." in the sense of complete fabrication .
