The knob has a 1" plastic thread, instead of the brass one in your photo. Any ideas? It doesn't twist smoothly, but sticks, making panning quite jumpy. Edit: Ah. Upon taking the arms apart I found that the two knobs were both just screwed on to the ends of the shaft. I just grabbed both knobs and unscrewed them slightly (took alot of force with pliers). They work smoothly now. The AZ knob also was jumpy. I took it apart and saw that one plastic disc rode inside another. All kinds of oil, grease, graphite was tried to no avail. I finally rubber cemented (in case I needed to undo it) 3 tiny slivers of easy gliders onto the bottom disc spaced equally around. It is smooth as silk now. David Post Extras:       Pages: 1
