I have a pier ready for the mount and don't plan to use it any other place so the tripod will just be extra junk for me to store. It really goes against the grain with me when I have to purchase and pay to ship 20 pounds of scrap metal. I know I've seen "wanted" ads from time to time for such a tripod. At one time OPT was blowing out the CG5 tripod (same size, different top plate) for $99 and they sold out fast.
