modding a celestron nexstar mount

does anyone know where i could find an example of a nexstar mount that has been modified to allow the scope full altitude rotation? thanks

If you are talking about the Nexstar SLT all you have to do is build a mini pier for it so that the scope doesn't ru into the tripod.

ok....so it's a matter of extending the base? is there something extending the fitting at the arm (dovetail joint) also? thanks for the help trev!

Hi db,
There is no extension on the dovetail, the factory bracket works fine.
There are a few ways to make a pier, if you want some detailed instructions with pics PM me.
