Welcome to Cloudy Nights!
If you have the CG4 with the 1.75" steel legs you should be fine with a C-6 and OK with a C-8 visually.

I've used a C9.25 on one, but it was pier mounted. I only used it for planet imaging & it coped surprisingly well. Not recommended though for a long period of time.
A C8 should be sweet.
