I've got an idea to mount my C 5 on my Vixen Super Polaris, without buying an adapter. It is basically a 3" thick wooden block that will fully attach to the saddle mount. Then I will make two small, yet stable plugs that will attach to the wooden block and will each have dovetail spaces routed out of them and finally adjustment screws for the dovetail bar. I am also hoping that this arrangement will work for my soon-to-come at6rc with a vixen dovetail bar. I'll try to keep updates and any advice would be nice.

That will work. It won't look too great, but it will work.
I made a similar thing out of plywood to mount my ZS70 on my Polaris.
Sure beats buying one for $100+
