I sketched the group this afternoon with graphite pencil on white paper through my 120mm f/5 achromat using a glass objective filter. The magnification was 75x (Vixen LVW 8mm). I later scanned the sketch and gave it a yellowish tint like the view through the solar filter. I hope its shockwave will give us a nice light show tonight. The tinted version looks very cool. They say that the incoming CME form the X-class flare will arrive today--look for the aurora tonight. The umbra and penumbra of the sunspot groups are recorded very nicely. The main central complex looks very interesting. Thank you for sharing it with us all.
