EQ-2 single axis drive questions
      #4399040 - 02/20/11 10:59 AM

Heey,

Just received my single axis drive corrector and immediatly got some question for improving it.

1. Could you modify the controller so it will autoguide on the RA-axis?

2. Could you modify the power to have it run on a 12volt accu?

Thanks a lot,
Btw. this is what I got, it's for an EQ-2 mount. http://www.teleskop-express.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p2934_Nachfuehrung-mit-Steuerung-fuer-Montierung-EQ-2---einachsig.html

Hi

1) Yes.
Have a look at 'shoestring astronomy'. You'll find some Information how to modify your handcontroller (basically soldering some wires parallel to the buttons) and how to build or buy some relays - they push these buttons.

2) Yes.
Buy or build a DC/DC voltage regulator. Maybe its also possible to modify the whole circurit, but rather useless.
