It is huge - the big thing for me is going to be - how do I store it and move it to my backyard. I have been looking at various Pelican cases - I like the 1650 one, but that case by itself weighs 35lbs and the mount weighs around 56lbs. I don't want to be pulling around about 100lbs - what other options do I have? I do need a hard case (unlike the Orion padded soft cases) and won't mind the Pelican 1550 or even the 1600, but the drawback for those is that they don't have an extension handle to pull the case. Any help is greatly appreciated. I think the mount head weighs 39 lbs. The #1600 Pelican only weighs 16 lbs. I keep my CGEM in a #1600 Pelican and use a hand truck for wheels if I don't feel like carrying it. Total weight of mine is 57 lbs. It's a tad heavy, and sometimes wish I had wheels for it. That said, it's not bad to carry it a short distance. I also have a 1650 which has wheels as you mentioned for my AT8RC, but think it might be too big for it. The last I heard, it's new owner was in Morocco. It's a good combo.
