Now, I am thinking to add a Takahashi Mewlon 300 reflector to complement my refractor. I am mostly a refractor guy (besides APO160FL I have a Takahashi TSA-102s, Leica Televid 82 spotting scope, Televue 60, Docter Aspectem binoculars 40x80 ED, several other binoculars) and I mainly use my tools for visual observations at the moment. I know that ideally would be to have AP1200 (or a comparable mount) instead of AP900, and mount both scopes on that outstanding mount, but for the moment I want to live with what I have. Would you consider that Mewlon 300 (57.2 lbs / 26 kg) + some visual accessories (Mark V bino, or Denk II bino, various EPs) can be driven by AP900-GTO (~ 70 lbs / 31.8 kg scope and accessories without counterweights) with no damage to the mount gear?
