Superior stability - AP1200 or Parallax HD200 ?
      #4419824 - 03/01/11 06:42 PM

Can anyone who has used both of these mounts report his opinion which of these two mounts offers more rigidity ?

AP 1200: 81 lbs. RA axis: hollow 85mm; DEC axis: hollow 60mm
Parallax HD200: 105 lbs, both axis are solid 51 mm shafts.

OTA would be a 50 lbs 8" f/20 refractor.

Ralph
