I know they are shipping and there is already one up for sale on the mart. Owner says he plans to keep his G 11 instead. Selling it as NIB.
Anyone have any comments, thoughts or reviews yet.

I beleave it's better than the normal CGEM but if i had to choose between a CGEM DX and a G11 i would probably go for the G11 too

I have herd the software in the G11 is not the hottest
and a taller price is not the most favorable.
I have just placed a order for the DX. It has a Cgem pro tri-pod and a beefed up servo motor.
Mine will be carrying a 11" Edge.
The problem with the old CGEM is that if you where to throw up a 11", you where on the threshold of over loading the mount.
Now to wait for 4-6 weeks to go by:(

Have you seen or handle a G11 in person?
The $1200 price difference is minuscule compared the huge difference in quality and precision of the G11.
I have a CGEM that came with my G11 Edge and I now wish that I should have sold it.
The only reason I decided to keep it is because the CGEM is semi portable as I can carry the head and tripod attached.
It is much harder to do so with my G11 and tripod.
I'm going to order Gemini 2 upgrade for my G11 and sell CGEM when I get it.

You might want to watch the CGEM DX Yahoo group as well if you are not already. There is at least one person over there that has just received his DX.

Great suggestion Ed, however I have been unable to find it on the Yahoo user groups. A couple of mentions on the regular CGEM group. I searched many pages and have not found a group for the CGEM DX.
If there is a new group you are following, have you got a link ?

I've pulled the trigger and ordered CGEM DX with 14" Edge HD OTA from Hands on Optics after visiting and personally checking the new mount. I will go there to pick it up myself in a few days 
I was just interested in 14" Edge HD OTA but could not resist Gary's offer. The mount seemed impressive and very stable compared to CGEM but this is based on my "visual inspection" only.
