Is there a quick and easy way to measure horizons with a GEM, preferably during the day? I'm thinking of taking measurements every 5 degrees. It seems like a trivial question with an alt-az mount but how can I maintain 5 degree spacing with a GEM?

Connect the mount to a planetarium program then turn on the horizon grid.
