Are you happy with your Tak EM-400 mount?
Do you also have drawbacks to this mount (weight)?
Thanks!

OK, is there than someone who used the original tripod from Tak, with the black metal legs?
I can't find any information about the weight, is it heavy?

Try going to Texas Nautical Supply's site for specs.
I owned the rig you are asking about. The Tak Heavy Duty tripod (what you are asking about) is an extremely high quality tripod. Most of the weight is in the head.
For a while I mounted a 10 RC optical telescope and SBIG STL camera on this rig, it was up to the task.
