My mount wont stay perfectly balanced, no matter how slight I made the ajustments. Anywhere in any potition, it is perfect, but if you put it in the 5 O'clock potition*as if you where holding a watch or clock next to it, facing vertical* it falls to straight. what do i do?

By "falls to straight" do you mean counter weights down?

What kind of mount and what kind of scope are we talking about here?

If it is a GEM mount, then the balance does not have to be perfect. It doesn't have to be close to perfect.

If it is Alt-Az, even changing an eyepiece will cause it to be out of balance, and there is little you can do.

But if it is a GEM, just keep it close and that is perfectly fine.

If it is Alt-Az mount then you van still balance the scope. However, we need to know the mount specification and the scope you are using.

As an example: If the weight of your scope is 15# and the mount capacity is 10# then the scope will not stablize even tightening the Alt-knob.
