Does anyone have any experience with this mount. It appears to be an excellent grab and go mount. I can't lug around my G11 anymore.

Hi Ovgjr,

I had the same problem as you, and suggest you join the Yahoo Group: Mini_Tower
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Mini_Tower/

Steve Forbes will answer any questions you have. He is the #1 Mini Tower expert.

The short answer to your question is to get the standard (non Pro) Mini Tower, and have Steve "Supercharge" it. You should also consider replacing the stock tripod.

I recently purchased a used iOptron Mini Tower. I tried it out last night for the first time off my balcony. It handles my Megrez very well, although I can understand why some would complain about Alt clutch slippage. It's difficult to get tight. Heavier scopes might be a problem.
