Hello everybody,
I was wondering if anybody had tried to hone in their averted vision? I know after reading this you are going to think that I am crazy as a Bessy Bug and should be locked up, but what I have found that helps (or at least I think it helps) is to slow down the refresh rate on my computer monitor (CRT’s only) and use my averted vision to see the flicker in my monitor. As my eyes became sensitive to the flicker I would speed up the refresh rate until I could barely see it, and start training again at the higher refresh rate. I was not really scientific about testing the results, but I swear that I can see more detail at the eyepiece now.
So, does everyone think that I am crazy , or does it make sense?
-Clear Skies, Nate P.S. Don’t worry I don’t do this for long intervals, 10min. at the most.

Yes, everyone thinks you're crazy, but that doesn't mean you can't improve your averted vision. (I keed, I keed!)
Seriously, if you can improve other neuro-muscular activities through practice and exercise, it makes sense that you could do the same with vision - at least to your personal maximum potential.
