Hi Folks,
I have a puzzler. What type of tripod is this? It only says Celestron on it. The legs are heavy steel and the OD is about 1.75 inches.
I have attached two photos of the top plate.
Any ideas?
Best regards and thanks!

Yes - that's the later but nearly identical "i" version, which had captive mounting screws.

The "SE" tripods are different for the 4 and 5" and the 6 and 8". The 4 and 5 have the built in wedge while the 6 and 8 don't. The "SE's" also have the captive screws. The original Nexstar 5 and 8 had the extruded aluminum tripods. Your's has the steel legs (which are actually 1.5" in outside diameter). Not that it's really important but i would say it's from a Nexstar 8i. I think.

The plot thickens.
Initially, it had an iOptron Minicube on it. Then I thought about putting a parallelogram mount for binoculars on it. But it just kept sitting in the garage.
