Nice work Michael. I also have a Towa 80/1200, which does very well on the planets, were you using the original 0.956" eyepieces or 1.25"? I changed the focus mount on my scope which now allows me to use binoviewers without an OCA or Barlow.

I use only original accessories with 0.96 ". I have the following 0.96" parts:
Towa: Huygens 40mm, 4mm Orthoscopic and errecting prisma
Zeiss: Huygens 25mm and 16mm
Vixen: Orthoscopic 12.5mm/9mm/7mm/5mm and Diagonal Prisma
I previously used eyepieces in diameter 1.25", but my old eypieces performing better an sharper

I know what you mean about the eyepieces Michael, my original 0.965" ones are very sharp, I still use them today.

Michael,
An excellent observation of Saturn. The color of the globe, bands, and rings is well rendered. Thank you for sharing it with us all.
