A few recent double star observations made with refractors. Epsilon Bootis- what a wonderful star, After years of observing I never tire of its beauty. The occultation of Eta Gem was interesting, the companion was easily seen, with the colors of both stars being more intense on the dark limb disappearance. Around one hour later it popped back into view on the bright limb, a most wonderful event. Binoviewers were used for all observations.

Those are sweet sketches, almost surreal. I love the way you captured Epsilon Bootes showing an effect I've seen on occasion. The companion seems to blend into the primary's first ring. It requires great seeing. On nights like that, I've tried to see the companions first ring inside the primary'r first minimum. Haven't succeeded yet.

Rutilus,
These are beautiful and colorful sketches and I like the diffraction rings as an added touch in these high power views.

Rutilus,
Outstanding double star observations. Epsilon Bootis is a beautiful double, as you point out. The other doubles are also attractive and interesting. The occultation of Eta Geminorum must have fun to observe. Thank you for sharing them with us all.

Thank you everyone for the comments. I have an extremely large number of double star drawings that need putting into the computer at some point, it could end up as being my un-finished project.
