Hello!
I was out last night under a most stunning sky, finishing my mosaic of the field around the M60 galaxy group, showing M58, M59 and M60 all in the same 2.5 degree field. It was extremely clear above 30 degrees altitude, but I was very tired and only did this drawing, then relaxed with some bright stuff, like M13 and companion galaxy NGC 6207, M92, M3, NGC 5466, etc.
The equipment was my WO 72 f/6 Megrez apo with binoviewer and eyepieces from 21x to 53x and mono from 42x to 84x, to tease out the faintest galaxies. The WO 72 continues to surprise me again and again with its extreme sharpness and contrast and ability to show deep-sky objects wonderfully well. It has become a sort of deep-sky survey scope for me, as I can very quickly find dozens of objects, due to its wide field and sharp, contrasty images.
Clear skies! Thomas, Denmark

No kiddin'! And there's actually five widefield sketches I still haven't finished and uploaded! M97+M108, M65+M66+NGC 3628, M105+M95+M96, IC2475 and NGC 4236. Further, I have prepared maps and empty forms for the fields around M99, M100 and NGC 4244...
At the weather is continually good and I am unemployed... I won't get much sleep tonight either...
Clear skies! Thomas, Denmark

Very nice drawings, Thomas. I really like how you captured the small, faint galaxies. Bill
