The one that came with my C8 only has 1 thumbscrew and I would like one with a compression ring if possible. I like my 1.25” Vixen diagonal and don’t have a need for a 2” diagonal. Or do they make a 1.25” adapter for a 2” visual back? If you think you might ever want to try a 2" diagonal, then go for a 2" ClickLock right away. It doesn't look like anyone makes one. My older Celestron VB only has one thumbscrew and it looks like the new Celestron VB has two. For now I will just order the newer version and see how well it works. I know they make a 3 screw back for the bigger M and C scts. Lots of choices for 2" visual backs but not 1.25". I doubt I will ever go to a 2" eyepiece with my C8 so I don't see the need to get a 2" diagonal. I am thinking Crawford Machine would charge more than I would want to spend to do a one off part? Or would they? I will send them an email and check it out. I don't know that I would purchase that solution since a decent 2" dielectric diagonal such as Astro-Tech is not too expensive. But many of us have all kinds of adapters lying around.
