Loading effect on PEC analysis
      #4547269 - 04/27/11 08:52 AM

I have a CGE that has performed quite well. I'm in the process of resetting my PEC after some small mods. My normal configuration is to load this mount to it's max with a C-11 and TMB92L and attempt to do AP.
I'm using PEMPRO as it is superb, but my question to the mount expert community here is this;

- Should I do the PEC training and adjustment with the lowest possible load, just the refractor on my mount with toucam and 2x barlow or would i be better of setting it up to its operating load first?

My instinct tells me that because i'm trying to get a portrait of the gear fundamentals then having a lighter load will prevent and overlay of non-PEC residuals.
