Need help - Meade tripod with Stellarvue mount new
      #4554930 - 05/01/11 11:14 AM

I'd like to use my Meade standard field tripod (Meade #07020 - the tripod that came with my LX90) with the Stellarvue MEC2 column and M2 mount. I need to know the bolt size on the Meade tripod as the column fits a 5/8 x 11 bolt.

Thanks, Ken

Hi Ken...

I believe the Meade fixed spreader screw is 1/2" x 13, a little smaller than the 5/8" bolt size on most surveyor tripods. Not 100% sure of this, but my Meade tripod fixed spreader screw does look a little narrower than the 5/8" bolt on my surveyor tripods. Can Stellarvue make an adapter to make this setup work for you? Good luck..

Bill
