I process my sketches using Photoshop CS4. I know others use GIMP.

Gimp is amazingly good to use though I use photoshop cs5 - it is such a mimic of photoshop for all intent and purpose its a little unbelievable.

I don't process my sketches at all. I take a series of photos at different exposure times but all with the same aperture. I then just choose which gives me the best result.
No altering of the image. My pencil does all the talking.
I say this to show processing isn't always necessary.

GIMP is by far the best and easiest program to figure out that I've ever used. It's great for inversing the colors of sketches and processing out simple mistakes you might've made.

Yes indeed GIMP perhaps the easiest and tried to handle several
drawings are all very simple.
