Just to make sure: this is a two year old work. Some features have changed, especially with software. For example FITS liberator is no longer a plugin for photoshop. It is now a standalone tool, which is an excellent news since I no longer need to upgrade my photoshop copy. Tel, earlier I use to use the software that came along with Canon. After researching on google, came across a recommendation for installing Microsoft ICE which is freeware. I did that and never looked back. Works great and stitches automatically. Had a chance to use my Nexstar 8Se again a couple of nights ago.The night was very cold -20 degrees C .However using the camera's cross box image of the stars I did an auto 2 star align using my video camera display and stayed in my warm house collecting images.Images was taken on a stock 8 se Alt/Azm on its tripod with no guiding. Images are 14 second exposures and they are about 100 stacked.
