That's some CRAZY magnification! That would require excellent seeing conditions and a nice scope. In an 8" SCT, that would be over 1000X and over 125X per inch! Really? In another word, that USB cam is user controllable or not is not AMCAP's fault but really on the device's native capability. It might actually caused by that CMOS cam is set to be only allowing fully automatic operation (e.g., no manual adjustment on shutter, gain, etc.) probably for simplicity reasons. This approach tends to be used by many low-end imaging devices for "deploy-n-forget" situations".
