So some of you asked for a review of this mount, I'm not a writer, but Olly is. I don't know if he posted his review here but in case you've missed it here is it:

For me it's the best mount out there in the weight category it plays in ... I don't even talk about price ...
In a nutshell:
- performed over 2 month's without any issue
- no backlash, we imaged even in windy conditions at 2.4 meters ...
- very low PE, but more importantly, it's slow, 5 sec guide subs are possible
- churns out perfect 30 minute subs with 100% keepers ...
- weight capacity 100kg, so lets presume it's a bit optimistic ... 75 Kg for sure, we have currently 25 kg loaded (counterweights not included)
I can't think of a competitor that comes even close ...
The downside, it doesn't look like an AP and I know of some people that bought AP just for that yes looks do matter apparently if you count that maybe there are other options ...

The Mesu Mount has the frictions system like G53F.
The problem will be the balance

We have NO problem with balance we even didn't spend much time on it ... anyway you always nee to balance every mount if you want the gear not to wear out ...

The pier is optional you could put anything under it ... Mesu will even make adaptor plates to your specification if you want ... but seriously that pier takes 2 people to move it, I know I have it ...
I also have the Losmandy HD and that one is flimsy against the mesu ... just to give you an idea ... but again the pier should be chosen in regards to the total weight ...

I have my Mesu 200 now for 2 weeks. I totally agree with vdb. For this price, it's a mount hard to beat.

Everything I hear about this mount sounds almost to good to be true!
I have a few questions though...
Does it have polar scope or you must use drifting or software for polar alignment?
GOTO is done by ArgoNavis hand controller I presume? How much time it needs to configure GOTO after turning on (I don't have a permanent pier)?
Does it have ST-4 compatible guiding port so it can be used with PHD?

No No polar scope ...
I use the finder to set it in the neighborhood ... and do a quick drift align. (Argo navies has a routine to do Polar align but for me that takes to long and the above is much quicker and more accurate)
You can ask Mesu, I think they have an optional holder for the losmandy polar scope
GOTO can be setup very quickly, you can sync a star in the neighborhood of your object, it typically takes less then 5 minutes to get imaging. (but you can build more complex models too)
ST4 sure, we use PHD and Nebulosity ...

Polar scope is very important for me because I use (modified) Kochab metod for polar alignment.
I'll ask Mesu...
Does mount support "home position" so it can be restarted quickly without GOTO alignment?

I think so, never checked it, but really lets say you want to image M51, you sync on a star in Ursa major and it's bang on, it uses extra encoders so pointing accuracy is very high ... it really takes less then 5 minutes ...
Only if you want to do remote imaging I can think of this being an issue ...

Well, if it needs only one star it will not be a problem. I'm accustomed with CGEM function that allows quick start from home position.

We've recently started a Yahoo group on this mount (Link: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Mesu_Mount_200/). Nothing much yet, just some first impressions, pictures, etc. Would be very happy to see more people joining in. BTW, I got my 200 few days ago. Very excited to try it out! Ian

i was just checking it and the price is actually less than a Mach1 after you get rid of the 19% VAT for those of us outside Europe. and it has 4X the payload of the Mach1..
was really looking at this but the overly industrial appearance and the somewhat hacked-together nature of the electronics (Argo Navis + Servocat) kind of put me off... i have had a number of mounts that i was not happy with and i couldn't afford to gamble on the Mesu...
