I am genuinely sad to hear that. He changed the face of our hobby forever with his Celestronic-20 and everything that followed.

What a tremendous accomplishment and contribution to modern Amateur astronomy that one man made. RIP Mr. Johnson, and thanks for everything you did for the rest of us. Many of us will forever be in your debt.

There are few people who did more to make astronomy available to the masses than Tom. He reached up and brought the stars within our grasp.

My fondest respects for a person who truly changed the face of modern amateur astronony to say nothing of imaging. He was a great man.

Every night he will be remembered by hundreds of amateur astronomers when they are looking through their SCT's. Tom made them affordable and popular.We owe him much.
