FS-78 set up for solar (white light).

The mount is a Lapides modified Takahashi Teegul alt-az. The chair is a Catsperch Pro.
Here's a close-up of the business end showing the Baader film filter:

As I've posted elsewhere, one of my favorites from the mid 60's. A nice R. E. Brandt 6 inch f/16 folded refractor with a super objective (you can see my dog in the objective <smile>).

... this is just a hand held and cropped shot thru a vintage 40mm smooth sided Televue Plossi, using a Panasonic GH-1 4/3'rds camera. To bad the image doesn't do justice to what I actually viewed.

It is a homemade mount. I do not produce or sell this mount. It was simply a one-of-a-kind experiment in very hard polyurethane and it works well.

I have always wanted one like this. I have never seen the original commercial mount only pictures so I decided to try and make one. Here is another pic.
About half the weight of aluminum.

Just got this recently. It's my first refractor. I've only had it out once, but the views were really nice.
