"Tele Vue's sojourn at Pearl River"
I'm sorry to be so dumb, but what does that phrase refer to???
Thank you.
This excessively flowery phrase refers to the time when Tele Vue was headquartered in Pearl River, NY - the early '80s. That's when they made those brown carrying cases.

If I had thirteen hundred years, I couldn't equal that mount! Truly stunning! That little right-angle gear drive is a very cool feature.

Rogue do you have a pic of the entire scope with mounting? You must have access to a machine shop with the skills to go with it! Mike

I hope I can post my humble refractor telescope. Celestron Powerseeker 60AZ. Have to start somewhere.
Is that a Realistic 150 Shortwave Receiver in the background?

Just got this 70mm f/10 Meade. Has glass objective. I had to take the lens apart for cleaning. Had finger prints on inside of lens element. Had pretty good images despite not knowing exactly what rotation-orientation of the lens elements. Pushed it to 100x without a problem. I will mount this with rings and dovetail for photo and guiding.
Only paid 33 bucks total for scope, tripod, two eyepieces and diagonal.
I like the metal flake grey color so won't repaint to match most of my Celestron or Meade refractors.
Not an APO but I like it.
